Shah Rukh Khan has extended his reign over the international box-office with his latest action-drama ‘ Raees ‘. The film that released on January 25, has gone on to collect an impressive Rs 62.56 crore (approximately USD 9.2 million) in the overseas market within six days of its release. However, it should be noted that some screens and territories are yet to report their figures. With the gross domestic collections amounting to an estimated Rs 152.61 crore, the film’s worldwide box-office collection now stands at an estimated Rs 215.17 crore.

The actor, who is extensively promoting his film, is getting applause for playing a gangster. The film has minted over Rs 114 crore at the domestic box office despite competition from Sanjay Gupta’s Kaabil, starring Hrithik Roshan.

Ramesh Bala tweeted “Raees collected 8.25 Cr on Monday (Jan 30th) and 7.52 Cr on Tuesday (Jan 31st) taking the India Nett 1st week Total to 09.01 Cr”. He also revealed that the film’s gross earning has crossing Rs.200 caror mark.
Raees faced a clash with Hrithik Roshan-starrer Kaabil, which also released on the same day. The two films opened a day before the Republic Day and are eating up the profits of each other. However, Kaabil has fallen behind with Rs 79.6 crore earned till Tuesday. Raees has also minted Rs. 45.63 crore gross earns in the overseas market in first four days of its release. Shah Rukh Khan’s film becomes Bollywood’s highest weekend grosser in Singapore.
Last year, Shah Rukh’s action-romance film ‘Dilwale’ had reportedly become the highest grossing and the only Bollywood film to cross $ 1 million mark at the box-office in Singapore.
According to latest reports, the film has officially been crowned as the highest earning Bollywood weekend grosser in Singapore, with its weekend collections pegged at an estimated USD 226,000 (Rs 1.52 crore).’Raees’ has become an unstoppable force in the domestic market. With a brilliant run at the ticket counters, the film went on to record the highest ever weekend collection in January besides witnessing the highest ever day collections with two or more releases. ‘Raees’ had to share box-office business with the Hrithik Roshan revenge-drama ‘Kaabil’.
Apart from the earnings in the local market, Raees collection also rocked the earnings overseas. The film continues to be the highest grosses in UAE-GCC ranking among the top charts on BoxOffice of USA. From the period of Wed to Sat, Raees overseas collection came to $ 6.7 million [₹ 45.63 cr] which is great considering the size of release.
So far the movie collections have reached the figure of 105 crores rupees in India and 55 crore rupees overseas, totaling the earnings to 160 crore rupees for the first weekend which is a retreat of Bollywood Badshah. Strong rumors of producers manipulating the Kabil collection’ figures are prevailing.
